Notre Dame picked up its 15th commitment and first linebacker in the 2024 recruiting class Friday when three-star Teddy Rezac announced for the Irish after a whirlwind recruitment. Here’s what you need to know:

Rezac plays for Westside High School in Omaha, Neb., and is ranked No. 8 among prospects in Nebraska in the 247Sports Composite.

Irish defensive coordinator Al Golden visited Westside in Omaha in early May. According to Westside assistant coach Tyler Wrice, Rezac ran a 4.48 40-yard dash during that workout.

Notre Dame was just the second Power 5 school to offer Rezac, following Boston College. It took Nebraska until Thursday to offer the in-state prospect from one of the state’s top prep programs, which has won two state championships in the past three seasons.

Rezac plays for head coach Paul Limongi, who took over at Westside last season. He spent the previous 16 seasons at Burke High School, where he coached current Irish safety Xavier Watts.
