Modern Family Cast & Crew Officially Wrap Filming After 11 Seasons
After 11 seasons and 250 episodes, the cast and crew of Modern Family have officially wrapped filming. The final day of filming was on Friday for the series finale that will air in April.
According to the respective social media accounts of the ensemble cast and series co-creator, Steve Levitan, it was an emotional day filled with a lot of picture-taking and heartfelt goodbyes.

“Today is our last day shooting #modernfamily. These are just some of the wonderful people who’ve made the last 11 seasons possible. I love them all. 😢,” wrote Levitan in the caption of a post that featured a video of the entire cast and crew waving goodbye from the studio lot.
Sofia Vergara (Gloria Delgado-Pritchett) posted a video of the cast gathered together and tearfully singing Green Day’s Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) after filming the last scene. In the clip, fans can see Vergara along with Sarah Hyland (Hayley Dunphy), Julie Bowen (Claire Dunphy), and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Mitchell Pritchett).
Vergara’s husband, Joe Manganiello, posted a tribute to his wife and the rest of the Modern Family cast that featured a group selfie in the Dunphy house. In the caption, Manganiello wrote a message of congratulations for 11 years of “groundbreaking television.”

“There may never be another show with a run like this and a cast this talented. You will be missed,” wrote the Magic Mike star. “Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of Gloria…”
Jeremy Maguire (Joe Pritchett) posted a series of photos from behind the scenes that featured his co-stars Nolan Gould (Luke Dunphy), Rico Rodriguez (Manny Delgado), and Ariel Winter (Alex Dunphy). In his caption, the 8-year-old wrote that he will be brave on the last day of filming and smile even though his heart is crying.
Aubrey Anderson-Emmon (Lily Tucker-Pritchett) wrote in the comments of Maguire’s post that “This isn’t the end. We can stay friends forever.”

Both Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet (Cameron Tucker) posted pics of their final moments on the Modern Family set. Ferguson’s pic featured him sitting in an empty room at Mitch and Cam’s house, and Stonestreet’s photo featured the actor standing near the Stage 5 door that he had walked in and out of for 11 years.
Stonestreet said it has all gone by “in a flash,” and it was time to see himself out.

After the show’s debut in 2009, Modern Family won five Emmys for outstanding comedy series. The show will come to an end on April 8th when ABC airs the series finale.
