Pearl Thusi, whose full birth name is actually Sithembile Xola Pearl Thusi, was born on the 13th day of May in the year 1988. Apparently, the TV personality is now in her 30s. Thusi grew up in Durban with her family. Her father has been identified as Bhekizizwe Thusi, however, her mother’s name is still vague at the moment.
She has gorgeous sisters
Pearl Thusi is not the only child of her parents. As a matter of fact, she has two sisters. Her sisters have been identified as Pamela and Prunella Thusi and they are both doing very well for themselves.
At the moment, Pamela is a dancer and choreographer who has often awed people with her flexibility and dance moves. Prunella, on the other hand, is an Instagram star who has loads of enthusiastic fans following her on social media.
Pearl Thusi lost her mother at a young age
Sadly for Pearl Thusi, she lost her mother when she was still in her teenage years. The loss hit her really hard and even now, more than a decade later, she is still grieving.

She was a beauty queen
Pearl Thusi started out as a model and took part in different beauty pageants as a teenager. In 2003, she took part in the Miss Teen South Africa beauty pageant and emerged the first runner up. She was, thereafter, crowned the First Princess.
Two years later in 2005, she participated in the Miss KwaZulu-Natal beauty pageant and emerged the winner of the show. She later went on to model for powerful brands around the country.
Today, she owns her own Modeling agency called Ayana Africa Modelling Agency. She actually co-owns the agency with David Kau, a comedian, and actor.
Pearl Thusi is a mother
Pearl Thusi is a proud mother who is a really doting mum. The actress has always been known to have a daughter identified as Thandolwethu whom she shows off very frequently on social media. Fans have often hailed her for the way she bonds with Thandolwethu.
However, in 2019, Pearl Thusi started to show off another girl whom she is believed to have adopted. This new girl’s name is Okuhle. Thusi is now parenting the two girls whom and is very loving towards them.

Pearl Thusi has done quite a lot of work in the entertainment industry, having served as a model, a TV personality and an actress. She kickstarted her acting career in 2009 with a role in The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, a comedy/drama series. She went on to star in Zone 14, another series in 2011 before landing a co-hosting job with Live Amp, a TV show.
Thusi has since gone to host a number of shows. In 2013 she became the co-host of Tropika Island of Treasure. She landed another hosting job with Moments in 2015 before becoming the host of Lip Sync Battle Africa in 2016. As a host of Lip Sync Battle Africa, she has become popular around Africa.
