X Factor heroes Reggie 'n' Bollie and why they totally rock

Publish date: 2024-05-20

In the wake of a lot of terrible events that have been happening around the world lately, the UK and US public’s favourite pair of boys, X Factor runners up Reggie ‘n’ Bollie, were exactly what the world needed. Everywhere they go it’s a party; they throw happiness around like confetti and put smiles on the faces of everyone in any crowd.

As their first performance last night at the final drew to a close, the crowd tore the roof off and went so wild that Simon had to ask them repeatedly to finish screaming so he could speak, but the crowd were undeterred and cheered even loader, which lasted for minutes and Simon eventually gave up.

It was a surreal moment, as if they’d already won and the boys were visibly overwhelmed. Stunned Nick said of the reaction he’d “never heard anything like it”.

As well as pretty much every contestant from this series having spoken of how friendly, kind and gracious they are as people, Reggie ‘n’ Bollie have a whole army of celebrity fans; the showbiz world can’t get enough of them. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin named them first when asked by Caroline after his performance who his favourite act was.

AND if that wasn’t enough of a reason, One Direction’s one and only Liam Payne hailed them as his favourite act, drumming up support for them on Twitter and coming to watch their performances, beaming the whole way through. Liam is pretty much their biggest fan. Life! Goals!

It’s impossible not to grin like a Cheshire Cat while Cheryl’s boys are performing, all you want to do is jump up and dance when they come on. That’s talent, that’s a rare factor.

Sure, they might not have the widest vocal range in the world or most powerful voices but being able to put on a show is what makes a singer an artist and a performer. Reggie ‘n’ Bollie are quite simply game changers and unlike any other performer the X Factor has seen.

An “X” factor is defined as something special you can’t quite put your finger on but that magic ingredient that just makes someone a star.

To me, this defines Reggie and Bollie.
